Course Synopsis:

This course equips real estate professionals with essential knowledge of the Code of Conduct (CoC) for Retail Leasing, which became mandatory from 1 February 2024.

It provides an in-depth understanding of the CoC’s purpose, structure, and implementation, including the roles of the Fair Tenancy Industry Committee (FTIC) and the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC).

Participants will learn the practical implications of the CoC, the 11 key tenancy principles, and the procedures for deviations, declarations, and dispute resolution.

By the end of the session, learners will be able to interpret CoC provisions accurately, advise clients professionally, and promote fair and compliant leasing practices in accordance with the latest industry standards.

  • Identify the 4 main sections of the CoC and their functions.
  • Apply CoC principles in lease negotiations and tenancy management.
  • Recognise deviations, declaration requirements, and dispute resolution pathways.
